Heart Connex!

We wanted to let you know about a parent/student resource. These are free family e-devotionals that are provided by Lifeway called “Heart Connex.” Each week parents receive two 20-minute devotionals via e-mail. These studies contain solid Bible teaching. The e-devotions are set up so that students and parents Alike are involved, with each given specific things to say or do. These e-devotionals are designed for very busy families. You can easily print the studies and make preparations in only about five minutes.

Many voices are speaking into the lives of your students from Lady Gaga to the blatant sexualization of our culture on mainstream tv. How can you understand this culture to help your students? Learn how can you help your students to understand the destructive messages all around them and to stand and grow in their faith by guarding their hearts and minds through wise choices.

This mission is accomplished by:

Helping parents understand and respond to the complex world of their children and teens from a distinctively Christian point of view.
Equipping teenagers to deal with the challenges of adolescence.
Equipping parents and teens to respond to these challenges through a distinctively Christian world and life view.
Raising the youth culture awareness of youth workers and educators, thereby helping them increase their effectiveness with parents, children and teens.
